suprisingly disappointed
Reviewer: Jordan, b

I have had many interactions with this establishment, and time and again i feel some dissonace every time i walk out of the store, given their reputation and the timeline of service for the area i would think that i would be happier, however i present ample business opportunities for them fairly regularly, at times it is just a cable i need or a 1/4 adaptor, these instances Music one is very handy to have around, they know their products and from my descriptions are able to let me know what i need, however i have taken a guitar in for a tune up and cleaning, and they turned me away, saying there was nothing wrong with it, and it was ture the instrument played fine, i just wanted it clean it up, get the greace off the frett board, smooth out a few fretts that have shifted a bit over the years, and to get the dust out of the body, i find it strange that a place of business would turn away a customer requesting a service that is over priced to begin with and passing by a opportunity to build raport with customers. the most recent example, i have just purchased a digital multi-track recorder, i was having trouble with the output volume and was interested in talking to someone at Music one about pre-amps, again the disapointment, i called explained the situation and asked if i could come test out some pre-amps to see if that would solve the issue, and in response to that i was told that they do not have the set up to do that and let someone "just" test, however, as a business owner, i would assume that one would see a business opportunity in that request, i would have bought the pre-amp then and there if that fixed my issue with the volume, but much to my dismay i was turned away, again. now i dont know how many active muscians are in this area, i know im hard pressed to find like minded musicians myself, but one music store in this town has closed already, and i know with the economic state of things i would think that these places of business would be a bit more accomodating to any request/ question musical, indeed that was an understatment. unless you know that they carry exactly what you need, do not expect a personal connection from this store, some of the guys that run it are genuine, however there is one individual who will make you want to open your own store so you can give the service you would like. if there were a rating for zero stars i would have given it, if you do find yourself at this store, be sure to put your waders on.
